Youth Policy

We welcome and encourage youth to volunteer for Habitat. Kids must be 14 or older to be on site, and they must have an adult supervisor come with them and stay with them through the day.

For Youth Groups, we need to follow a few more steps to make sure they have a good Habitat experience:

• Each youth group will have one Primary Adult Supervisor who coordinates the group's work

• The group needs to be scheduled well in advance of the Saturday they want to work. Contact the Lead Site Coordinator to schedule.

• Any youth group working on site must have at least a 1 adult to 3 youth ratio

• The Primary Adult Supervisor will contact the Saturday Site Coordinator at least one week in advance to get their final work assignment

• The Youth Group will, to the best of its ability, bring their own tools for the job
