The Site Host makes sure every volunteer signs-in and
has the appropriate forms completed before working on-site.
-
The Saturday Site Coordinator will get site host
table & material out of house and set on sidewalk
-
Site Host should be at the site between 7:45 and 8:00
AM to get organized for the day's check-in.
-
If this is the first time a volunteer has been at our
site this year, they need to complete these forms:
-
Volunteer Form - If the person has not previously
filled out a volunteer form (online or paper) then they need to fill
this in
-
Emergency Medical Information Form - Everyone
needs to fill this in as completely as possible
-
Safety Information/Release Form - Read and sign
this form
-
Adult Liability Release Form - Every adult has to
read & sign this before they can work
-
Minor Liability Release Form - Must be signed by
parent and minor
-
Volunteer Sign In Sheet - Sign-in to record they
worked that day
-
Site host files these forms alphabetically into
the accordion file folder
-
People who have already been to the site this year
and have previously filled out these forms just need to sign-in on the
Volunteer Sign In Sheet. Check the accordion file to make sure that they
have indeed filled-out the forms.
-
We have a rolodex that has everyone who has
worked on-site this year. After people sign-in, add them to the rolodex if
they are not already there. Add their name, address, phone number and
emergency phone number to the rolodex file cards.
-
Everyone who signs-in gets a name tag. Volunteers
can print their name on the name tag with the dry erase pens.
-
If site host sees someone milling around they should
ask if they have checked in, completed forms and have name tag.
-
Site host job is finished once all parties have
signed in and all paper work has been filed and rolodex cards complete.
There usually are stragglers that show up after the 8:30 AM start time. The
Site Host work is generally done around 9:00 AM.
-
Leave the sign sheet out for any late arrivals and
put all the Site Host forms & etc back in the Tupperware container to
protect it from wind and rain.
