Church Representative Role Description

The Church Representative is the coalition's primary liaison with the member church. The Church Rep is a vital member of the Project Steering Committee and is responsible for coordinating the church's activities with that of the coalition, promoting the coalition within the church, resolving issues, and assisting with fundraising within the church. Specific responsibilities include:

• Making sure EHCC and Habitat for Humanity play a prominent role in the church's mission and outreach activities by meeting with and gaining support from the pastors, and fostering groups within the church to help advance the EHCC/Habitat for Humanity mission.

• Assisting the Communications Coordinator in effective means of communicating information within the church, such as getting articles and/or announcements in the church bulletin or newsletter.

• Assisting the Fundraising Coordinator in securing funding from the church

• Leading the resolution of issues between the church and EHCC or Cincinnati habitat for Humanity

• Assisting the Volunteer Recruiter by finding Leadership Volunteer candidates within the church

• Leading recruitment of construction volunteers and other volunteers within the church
